At the Reykjavík City Library, we host a wide variety of exhibitions. We work with both individuals and groups of many kinds, from Iceland and abroad. Over the years, we have exhibited just about everything imaginable: paintings, glass, ceramics, photography, comics, textiles, and much more.
Admission to all exhibitions is free, and we often offer events, courses, and workshops in connection with our exhibition program.

Overview of the Exhibition Spaces
The exhibition spaces are as varied as they are numerous. Below is an overview of the spaces available. Exhibitors receive support with promotion but are responsible for the installation and execution of their exhibitions themselves, working in close collaboration with the library staff.

GERÐUBERG
- Stekkur
An exhibition space located in the entrance hall on the lower floor of Gerðuberg. It is well suited for a wide range of exhibitions that require ample wall space.
It is also possible to display works on plinths in selected areas of the space.

An exhibition gallery located on the ground floor, just inside the young adult section.
Works are often also displayed on the walls outside the gallery, guiding visitors into the space.
