Information about the event
Decolonised Dinner
We invite you to dinner and a documentary over our dining table. Dishes carry stories and illustrate that every meal can be a symbol of solidarity and identity. With its flavours, ingredients, and origins, food is a celebration and representation of what we know about culture and people. Food has also, however, been a powerful tool of colonisation because social and cultural norms where they are conveyed are also violated. Through the lens of food and cinema, Decolonised Dinner draws attention to our shared heritage over food. By having conversations with each other at the dinner table, we embark on a journey to creating a more equitable, anti-racist society.
For this event registration is necessary, there are only 16 seat that the dinner table. Registration will open on January 8th.
No participation fee, all welcome.
