A space for Authors | The Way Things Are

Saturday February 8th 2025

Join us for a talk about practical Tibetan Buddhism presented by Alfonso Costa (Peru), organized by the Diamond Way Buddhist Center of Iceland.

In this talk, Alfonso will explain the Buddhist view and methods described in the book The Way Things Are by Lama Ole Nydahl.

What is the relevance of Buddhism today? How do the Buddha's teachings help us unlock our full potential? Through the meditation practices described in the book, attendees are invited to explore the liberating and powerful methods of Tibetan Buddhism.

Alfonso Costa was born in Lima, Peru, in 1977. A sommelier by profession, he met Lama Ole in 2002 in Lima. Since then, he has traveled every year with him to various countries in South America and Europe.
In 2009, in Russia, Lama Ole instructed him to begin teaching at the centers worldwide.
He now lives in Immenstadt with his family, very close to the Europe Center, where Lama Ole currently resides.

Lama Ole Nydahl is a Buddhist teacher in the tradition of the Karma Kagyu lineage and he has founded more than 600 Diamond Way Buddhist centers around the world.
He is one of the best known western Buddhist teachers and through his activity this tradition is one of the most popular Buddhist traditions in the West.
