SÖGUR (‘Stories’) | Short Film Script

Sunday November 6th 2022

Borgarbókasafnið in collaboration with Sögur- Children Choice Award, invites children to learn to write scripts for short films under the guidance of the film maker and producer Lea Ævarsdóttir

The workshop will take place on two Sundays, 6th and 20th of November.

Please register on sumar.vala.is

Program:

  • 6th of November: Lea goes through the basics in writing short film scripts.
  • Between workshops we encourage the children to work on short film script
  • 20th of November: Lea gives further instructions on writing short film script and the children give their script the finishing touch.

The result of the course will be a short film script and we encourage the children to submit to a competition to KrakkaRÚV, which selects scripts for production and screening on television. The best short film will then be awarded at the big awards festival next spring in a live broadcast on RÚV.

Lea Ævarsdóttir is a film producer, script writer and a project manager. She graduated from New York Film Academy in 2016 with an MFA degree in television- and film productions. She has since then been producing and writing film scripts and loves to watch good movies and tv-series. Lea has two children and likes to work out and be out in the nature.
