David Attenborough Turns 100

The British naturalist and broadcaster David Attenborough celebrated his 100th birthday on May 8. From a young age, he showed great interest in natural history, collecting fossils as a child and cycling alone through England’s Lake District in search of fossils at just 13 years old.
David Attenborough has produced a vast number of remarkable educational and wildlife programs, as well as television films and books about a wide range of natural phenomena. We congratulate Attenborough on reaching this milestone!
Reykjavík City Library holds a large collection of books and DVDs by David Attenborough. Below is a selection from the library’s collection, along with a recent children’s book about the life and work of David Attenborough.
