The Reykjavík City Library offers the service “Books to Your Home,” designed for elderly individuals and others who have difficulty visiting the library, whether due to health issues, disabilities, or social circumstances.
With this service you can have books or magazines delivered to your home every eight weeks. This is a personalized service where users receive assistance in finding suitable material based on their interests.
The service is free for anyone with a valid library card. Those aged 67 and older, as well as people with disabilities, receive a library card free of charge.

Please note that all reading material is loaned for eight weeks at a time, and all deliveries are sent out simultaneously. Therefore, it may take some time from registration until the first delivery arrives.
