Children‘s Choice Book Awards

Every spring, children ages 6-12 are invited to vote for their favourite children’s book of the year. Voting takes place at public and school libraries around the country and on the Reykjavik City Library website. Children can choose one to three books that they found to be most enjoyable, interesting, or simply the best for any other reason.

The Children’s Choice Book Awards are part of Stories – The Children’s Awards, and participants are welcome to also vote for their favourite books through KrakkaRÚV for those awards, which will be streamed on RÚV, the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service.
