make-a-thek | The Wardrobe and the Circular Economy
Wednesday March 25th 2026
How can we be responsible clothing buyers and users? Is recycled polyester more environmentally friendly than cotton? What happens to our clothes when we stop using them? Why do we feel as though some garments are an extension of ourselves?
Ragna S. Bjarnadóttir, lecturer and head of studies in the Fashion Design program at the Iceland University of the Arts, will give a talk and lead a discussion on textiles, clothing, the wardrobe, and the circular economy.
The talk will be in Icelandic.
This event is a part of a project called make-a-thek which is funded by the EU.
