Peaceful Evening | Floating, Relaxation and a Group Sound Bath

Thursday November 27th 2025

Do you long for some peace and quiet?

Join us for a peaceful evening — a unique opportunity to unwind, recharge body and mind, and embrace tranquility in a calm and beautiful setting.

The lights will be dimmed, gentle music will fill the library, and serenity will take over.

Floating

In collaboration with Dalslaug swimming pool, we invite you to four 30-minute floating sessions in the indoor pool – a deep relaxation experience for body, mind and soul. Participants drift together in timeless stillness, surrounded by water and soft sounds.

Please note that the floating sessions are not led by a floatation therapist, but a guided meditation in Icelandic with music will be played through underwater speakers.

Registration takes place at the Dalslaug reception desk at arrival on a first come, first served basis.
Participants pay only for pool admission — the floating session itself is free.

There will be four floating sessions, in Icelandic, starting punctually at 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM, 8:00 PM, and 9:00 PM.

Each group may enter the pool area 10 minutes before the session to collect float equipment and settle in.

At the end of each session, participants are kindly asked to return the equipment promptly to allow the next group to prepare.

Guided Relaxation

For those who prefer to stay dry, there will also be two guided relaxation sessions, in Icelandic, in the hall at 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

Group Sound Bath

Last but not least, join the Group Sound Bath led by nature therapist Jacek Szeloch.
Using traditional Nepalese sound healing techniques, Jacek plays singing bowls that create deep, resonant vibrations, guiding the body into a state of restorative calm.

The sound bath begins punctually at 8:30 PM. Some mats will be available on site, but guests are encouraged to bring their own mats if possible. Please note that no registration is required – everyone is welcome as long as space is available in the hall.
