The Children's Book Awards
In February and March, children aged 6-12 are invited to vote for their favorite children's books of the year.
The vote takes place every year at public and school libraries throughout the country and here on the Reykjavík City Library website. Children can choose one to three children's and/or young adult books published in Icelandic last year that they find the most fun, interesting, or best for any reason. Children can also vote for their favourite illustrations in the Illustration of the Year vote.
In April, there will be an awards ceremony where the 10 books that received the most votes in the Children's Book Awards will be announced.
