The magic of the glass
María Karlsdóttir exhibits works made of glass at Árbæ City Library.
Nature Is an endless source of ideas and creativity as one can see at the exhibition where glaciers, mountains, and the sea appear along with lava, black sands, sheep, and the sky.
María spent three winters at the Kópavogur School of Art, where she studied oil painting and general art. She first worked with glass art in Denmark, where she was studying, and she was completely fascinated by the material, so there was no turning back. Since then, she has attended countless glass courses, both domestically and abroad.
Together with other artists, María runs Art Gallery 101, Laugavegi 44, 101 Reykjavík, and her works are for sale there. She is also on Facebook MK glerlist and on Instagram with karlsdottirm.
