This  writing workshop is a collaboration between the Reykjavik City Library and Sögur. In this workshop children at the age of 9-12 years old will get the chance to write their own play with guidance by, Hildur Selma Sigbertsdóttir.
In this 2 hour  workshop Hildur will teach the basics of how to write plays, she will also give some tips on how to find inspiration. The children can send their plays they´ve written for feedback to Hildur, before they send it of to the Sögur competition.

We encourage the children to send their plays to the Sögur competition, which you can do on KrakkaRÚV website.  A few plays will be chosen by a jury, and will be  staged at Borgarleikhúsið. The play writers will get an award on the Sögur festival which will take place next spring. The Sögur festival will be aired live on RÚV.

Hildur Selma graduated with a BA in performing arts in 2018, and has a wide experience from the magical world of theatres.
