Location: Okið; Seljagarður Breiðholt
In this workshop the participants will learn the basics of urban gardening. We will learn about different types of plants that survive in Iceland as we are planting them. From herbs, to flowers and vegetables, we will handle these types of plants, learn how to care for them, and how to prepare them for planting indoors and outdoors. The participants can also bring their own plant(s) that they want to soil and watch grow/bloom. The participants will have the possibility to care for the plants, watch them grow and harvest them weeks and months after the workshop is over. Please note that this workshop will take part in OKið and partly in Seljagarður Breiðholt, which is in a walking distance from the City Library in Gerðuberg.
The workshop is taught in Icelandic, English, and Polish.
