Bike Ride | Rendezvous on Wheels

Join us on a bike ride around Vogahverfið and Heimahverfið neighbourhoods and listen to Sigrún Jóna read from several children’s books in well-chosen spots, on the occasion of the Children’s Culture Festival. The tour starts by the entrance to Sólheimar City Library.

We recommend clothes and bikes that suit the weather conditions. Please, meet up on time. The bike ride takes around 90 min and then we  end the trip with hot chocolate at a café.

Tour leaders: Árni Davíðsson from The Icelandic Cyclists' Federation and Sigrún Jóna Kristjánsdóttir, children’s librarian at Sólheimar.

We invite you to take part in the monthly bike rides one Saturday morning from January to May. This new series of events is a cooperative project of the Reykjavik City Library and the cycling education group, Hjólafærni á Íslandi with a grant from Miðborgarsjóður Reykjavíkurborgar.

The bike tours are free and you are all welcome to take part.
