Exhibition | Modern Landscapes

Saturday February 22nd 2020 - Saturday March 28th 2020

Graphic artist Anna Snædís Sigmarsdóttir is inspired by the aesthetics of nature;  lava, moss and wild nature are the topics of her art.

Rough texture and lines bring to mind strong lava flows, deep cuts signify the power of nature. Anna Snædís uses various graphic methods in her works, etching, carbarondum and dry point. Her bookworks are made with mixed media, silk-screen printing, drawing and print, nature and society are her inspirations.

The works of this exhibition are partly the same as those shown at the Münsterland Festival in Germany in 2017, where artists from the north and south, Iceland and Greece, met in a group exhibition. See https://www.muensterland-festival.de/.
