Artótek | The Nail: Untitled
Sólheimar Culture House will be showcasing an untitled painting by Ingibjörg Hauksdóttir in January and February. The painting is provided by the Artótek, which is situated in Grófin Culture House.
Ingibjörg Hauksdóttir received her MFA degree in Berlin and has studied art in Los Angeles and Reykjavík as well. Her mission is to create art that nourishes the soul.
The buyer of the last showpiece on the Nail chose the painting and said it had immediately caught her eye, its beautiful colours and the joy it reflected.
The Nail is an art exhibition at Sólheimar where one art-piece will be showcased at any given time. This is the 8th exhibition in the series. The art can be bought or rented-to-own where one becomes its owner when the rent has reached the sales price. The buyer (or rentee) of the exhibited art can choose the next one, from the Artótek, to be showcased on the Nail.
The painting can be rented for 5.000 kr. a month or bought for 160.000 kr.
