Copy-Cats (Hermikrákur), a Group of Young Female Artists, Exhibit in Grófin with Artótek-Artists
Reykjavik City Library | Grófin Culture House
June 21st - August 15th 2018
A group of young female artists got together for a summer workshop at the Reykjavik City Library this June. The girls are Auður Erna Ragnarsdóttir, Ása Melkorka Daðadóttir, Birna Dís Baldursdóttir, Bríet Mjöll Þorsteinsdóttir, Drauma Bachmann, Eik Emilsdóttir, Fía Jónsdóttir, Kristín Guðrúnardóttir and Mirra Emilsdóttir and they have been creating magnificent art at the library for this exhibition.
The girls were inspired by works of artists at the art lending library, Artótek, located in the Reykjavik City Library at Grófin, Tryggvagata 15. The methods had no creative boundaries and the outcome was at times very different from the original pieces, yet spectacular.
The exhibition is called Copy-Cats / Hermikrákur and is open from June 21st until August 15th. We invite you to come and look at the art by the current and future artists of Reykjavik.
Artists exhibiting from Artótek:

Elín G. Jóhannsdóttir
