LittleBits | Makerspace
Reykjavík City Library | Culture House Gerðubergi
Monday April 24th from 14.30-16.30
We invite kids aged between 9-12 to our makerspace in the library. There it is possible to try out LittleBits, which are easy-to-use electronic building blocks that can be used to create large and small inventions.
Instructors from the organisation Koder and Reykjavik City Library will assist the children. Note that the curriculum and the instructions are in Icelandic. The instructors can offer assistance in English.
This is an opportunity for children to get to know new and exciting technology on their own terms.
Koder is a non-profit organisation aiming to introduce programming for ages 9-16. Reykjavik City Library thinks that technology literacy is an extremely important factor in the education of children and has has therefore bought Raspberry Pi computers, LittleBits, MakeyMakey and other technology to support learning.
